Cooling towers

Cooling towers require materials that can withstand humid conditions, corrosion and constant temperature differences. This is where Krafton® GRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic) profiles come into the picture. With their superior durability, corrosion resistance and light weight, they offer an ideal solution to the challenges facing cooling towers. With the technical advantages of Krafton's GRP profiles, cooling towers can not only last longer, but also operate more efficiently and safely.

The development
of cooling towers

Products and materials constantly evolve; composite is an ideal structural engineering material, particularly when the product has to satisfy demanding criteria such as light weight in combination with strength, high resistance to corrosion and good thermal or electrical insulation properties. Designing composite structures is no more complex than designing structures made from steel, wood and other building materials.

This explains why krafton© profiles have been widely used in cooling towers for some years now.
